Westminster is home to one of the largest Vietnamses-American communities in the united State. The Vietnam War Memorial sits at the center of small Sid Goldstein Fredon Park, located near City Hall and next to the Westminster Rose Center.

The memorial was designed and sculpted by local Vietnamese sculpture and artist Tuan Nguyen, and funded mostly from private donations from our Vietnamese community. The memorial features a pair of 12-foot tall bronze soldiers, one American and One Vietnamese, encircled by polished black marble over which sheets of water cascade. An eternal flame burns in the center. The memorial was unveiled on April 24,2003, bringing together members of the Vietnamese community, veterans and families of soldiers who lost their lives in Vietnam.
